Mmm korean bbq. I went with the boy so we got the combo for two. Meat was sooo flavorful. Our waiter was very attentive and came back frequently to turn the meat on the grill for us and then place it into a bowl when it was all done. Love it when you don’t have to worry about burnt meat with charcoal. On the grill, they also have a compartment for egg jim, corn with mozzarella cheese, and vegetables. Banchan included chive pancakes (delicious), pumpkin with raisins and nuts, kimchi, mul kimchi, bean sprouts, and their special kimchi chigae (stew). There’s a also a dipping sauce comprised of soy sauce, onion, and jalapenos, but I prefer the meat wrapped in lettuce with just a bit of kimchi and sprout.
We went after 10pm so it was kind of hard to find the place, but I’m glad we wandered around long enough to find it. It’s located inside Ktown’s Chapman Plaza which is beautifully lit up by Christmas lights. You can park inside for $2 valet but we found plenty of street parking outside. Due to the late hour, we got seats right away, although I hear there’s usually a wait. Unfortunately if you want to use the bathroom, it’s located outside in the plaza and it costs 25 cents – but it’s clean.
